A Journey to Joy: Healed for Life Returns. First stop: London

By 25th March 2026 Jo Naughton

It has been a long time coming. Five years, to be exact. If you’ve been following our journey at Whole Heart Ministries, you know that our hearts beat for one thing: seeing people walk in the freedom that God has for them. We have been running in-person events in churches but for a season, our two-day Healed for Life weekends (the ones hosted away, in beautiful Christian conference centers) haven’t been happening. For a while, that part of the journey happened mostly through screens. But there is something truly special about being in the same room, isn’t there?

I am delighted to share that Healed for Life is finally returning to the UK this May (at High Leigh conference centre, Herts). This isn’t just another event on the calendar; it is a journey we are taking together. And it’s not only for those just beginning. It’s also for those who’ve been before too. So many people come again and again because they’re choosing to stay on the journey and go deeper with Jesus.

Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning, you’ve joined us before and you’re coming back, or you’re just finding us now, I want to walk you through why your heart might be nudging you to join us.

The Joy of Gathering Again

There is a unique kind of energy that happens when people gather with a shared purpose. After five years of waiting, the anticipation for our UK event at the beautiful High Leigh conference centre is bubbling over. We’ve missed the face-to-face conversations, the shared prayers, and the incredible atmosphere that fills a room when we all decide to seek healing together.

For those of you who’ve been before, you know what’s in store. You’re coming because you’ve tasted what God can do in a safe, set-apart space… and you want to stay on the journey. Sometimes we come back because life happened again. Sometimes we come back because we’re ready for the next layer. Sometimes we come back simply because we know there is so much more.

Coming together in person allows for a level of connection that we just can’t replicate elsewhere. It’s about the smiles in the hallway, the powerful moments of realization during a session, and the collective sigh of relief when we discover we aren’t alone in our struggles.

If you’ve felt a bit isolated lately, or if you’ve been feeling stuck in your personal growth, this is the environment where breakthroughs happen. We are heading to High Leigh conference centre in Hertfordshire (London area) 28-29 May, 2026. The joy of this return is something I can hardly put into words. It feels like a homecoming.

An Invitation to Let the Lord Shine His Light Into the Deep Places

We often carry things that we don’t even realize are there. We go about our lives, we work, we take care of our lives or families, and we might be very active in our faith. But beneath the surface, there can be old wounds that haven’t quite closed.

Maybe it’s the sting of a past rejection that makes you pull back just when a new friendship is getting deep. Maybe it’s a sense of grief that you’ve tucked away because you felt you had to be strong for everyone else. Or perhaps it’s an old trauma that shows up again in unexpected ways. Maybe a sudden wave of anxiety hits you when you walk into a hospital. Perhaps you have a nagging fear in a new relationship. These are not random reactions, they more often signs of old pain trying to get your attention.

We need to allow the Lord to shine His light into the deep places of our hearts to reveal blocked pain. Then to gently lead us into freedom.

Many of us know God. We love Him, we study His word, and we try to follow His lead. But knowing God is very different from being healed by God. You can have a deep faith and still carry a heavy heart. If you don’t deal with buried trauma, you will probably see it taint your every day life. It shows up in how we react to stress, how we view ourselves, and how we interact with those we love most.

This event is an invitation to make room for Jesus to go into the places we’ve learned to avoid. It’s not about digging up the past, it’s about inviting the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. We want you to have a fresh encounter in the presence of the Lord. An encounter that brings you great joy and freedom.

I’ve often seen that people struggle with the fear of history repeating itself. You might think, “This is just how my family is,” or “I’ll always feel this way because of what happened to me.” But that doesn’t have to be your story. When we address what lies beneath the surface, we find that those old chains don’t have to follow us into our future.

The Call: Step Into Your Destiny

As we approach May, I want to ask you a question: What could your life look like if you weren’t held back by those old weights?

There is a God-given destiny on your life. There are things you were created to do, people you were meant to impact, and a level of peace you were designed to experience. But it’s very hard to run a race when you’re carrying a backpack full of old rocks.

It’s time to step into your freedom. Don’t let another year go by feeling like you’re getting through. If you’ve been feeling discouraged, this is your moment.

Sometimes the biggest hurdle is simply saying yes to a new journey. We often wait for a “better time” or for things to settle down. But your heart deserves attention now. Whether you are dealing with disappointment, weariness, broken trust or insecurity, there is a path forward. This event on May 28-29 is designed to be a springboard into your new season.
